We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Assistant Property (Estates) Surveyor who will report to the Senior Property Surveyor as part of the property management team. As part of a team, you will be responsible for undertaking all day-to-day property management activities of the City Council’s property management team supporting the strategic asset management plan, property strategies and financial requirements.
You will be responsible for and effectively manage a personal caseload which will be a variety of property types ensuring revenue targets are met, protection of asset values and minimisation of costs.
You will be required with the right support and guidance to undertake inspections, valuations, negotiations, acquisitions and disposals of all types of land and property from inception through to completion. Undertaking new lettings, rent reviews and lease renewals to maximise the revenue returns from the City Council’s non-operational estate.
You will have developing technical skills and experience within a similar role and have professional credibility and have an ongoing personal commitment to continuous self-development and professionally keeping up to date with any changes or new trends.
You will have developing knowledge of prevailing legislation relating to commercial property including but not limited to Landlords and Tenants Acts.
Qualifications
You will be expected to be working towards being technically qualified to degree level and working towards being professionally qualified from the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors or equivalent.
