The Opportunity
Our client is one of the largest Engineering Consultancies in the UK. They are currently providing services to several large infrastructure projects, including in the Nuclear Sector. These projects range from the new build Hinkley Point C Power Station to the latest technology in Small Modular Reactors.
Due to this, they are currently looking to expand their growing nuclear business and are recruiting for an experienced Data Manager to join their dynamic and collaborative team.
The role
As an Engineering Data Manager, you will be joining an established and supportive team of Data Specialists/Managers who make the vast amounts of engineering data produced by the teams on the site of Hinkley Point C accessible to the people who need it. This could be in the form of PowerBI Dashboards or Data management using SQL, R or Python based methods.
This role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis out of our clients’ office in Bristol. You will be able to work a Hybrid model, with 3 days on site.
Please Note: To be considered for this role, you will be required to gain BPSS security Clearance. Therefore, we are unable to consider candidates who are currently outside of the UK or those who have been in the UK for less than 5 years. We are also unable to consider candidates who require VISA Sponsorship, either now, or in the future.

Your duties and responsibilities will be
Production of deliverables related to Data Management:
Programming Dashboards
Data transformation
Verification
Data quality audits.
Working across a multi-disciplined team to ensure all work is completed on time, and to standard.You will have the following qualifications & experience
Engineering degree, Computer Science degree or equivalent.
Knowledge in PowerBI, Python, R or SQL.
Experience in AVEVA TAGS and Dassault 3Dx PLM tool.
Previous knowledge and experience on design tools and databases, data management and information systems.
Relevant experience in one or several of the following areas: - data transformation, control and verification of data quality and integrity, programming and dashboarding, using or supporting administration of a database or design tool.It’s great if you also have the following
Good organisational skills.
Ability to adapt and learn in a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural environment.
Ability to set, achieve and maintain high standards regarding safety and quality.The setting for the role
Risks and Hazards are in line with working on a nuclear licenced site. These can include, nuclear fuel, radiation, chemicals and gasses, high voltage equipment, moving vehicles, flammable materials, high pressure circuits, steam, high noise and vibration levels. A full site induction will be provided and all safety requirements must be adhered to when entering the site.
