POST: Production Operative
LOCATION: Fivemiletown
REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor
HOURS: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 16:00pm
We are now recruiting for a Production Operative to join our growing team, required to operate in a highly automated, leading-edge production facility to manufacture superior quality paving and walling products in a safe and efficient manner.
About the role
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Take personal responsibility for safety; ultimately ensuring that you go home safe every day whilst training to become a flexible operative across a range of workstations to produce paving and walling products to the highest quality standard.
2. As a key member of the team, become proficient in all aspects of operations.
3. Use and learn the tools of the Learn management system to drive continuous improvement in productivity whilst maintaining quality of output.
4. Support maintenance tasks during machine downtime, planned maintenance, and routine maintenance tasks.
5. Troubleshooting - respond quickly to conditions that adversely impact operations through communication with the shift team leader and working to resolve issues.
6. Comply with AG Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) Policies & Procedures, safe systems of work, and legislative requirements. Report improvements using AG's Engage Software.
7. Ensure that HSEQ risks are eliminated or controlled during all activities, completing production and pre-use HSEQ checks as required.
8. Ensure product meets the required quality standard, maintaining supporting records throughout the production process.
9. Maintain a clean and tidy work area, ensuring housekeeping is kept at the required high standard.
10. Any other duties commensurate with the role and within capabilities.

Required Criteria
1. Medically fit to undertake the physical requirements of the job.
2. Previous experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
3. Computer literate.
4. Adherence and appreciation for H&S legislation and general housekeeping standards.
5. Reliable. Works well on own initiative and as part of a team.
6. Ability to meet production deadlines.
7. Experience of effective communication with team members.
8. Can travel to and from work areas as and when required.
9. Available to respond to production problems outside of normal hours.
Desired Criteria
1. Previous experience of concrete products manufacturing.
2. Previous experience of quality control.
3. At least 1 year's previous forklift driving experience, preferably within a busy manufacturing environment.
4. Previous experience in routine and preventative maintenance programmes.

3. Forklift handling.
