Bleckmann Customs team are looking for a Customs Broker based within our Lutterworth cluster.
This is a permanent role Monday – Friday, with a salary of £30,000 - £32,000 working 37.5 hours a week.
Tasks and responsibilities:
In depth knowledge and experience of working and managing a public bonded warehouse for multiple clients and creating import and export customs entries for road and sea freight in CDS including knowledge of transit documents NCTS, customs error resolutions, arriving freight, claiming UCRs containers and inventory linking.
ESSENTIAL TASKS & RESPONSIBILTIES
* Checking & handling the process & transport documentation & performing customs technical & commercial administrative work
* Processing Import and Export entries in accordance with established procedures and guidelines with a strong knowledge of CUSTOMS WAREHOUSING declarations
* Liasing with clients
* Liase with customs authorities
* Archiving customs documents
* Checking preferential rules of origin and import/export restrictions
* Process improvement
* Stay current with customs legislation
* Maintain accurate records of bonded goods, including stock system records
* Support internal training
* Manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload to strict deadlines
Profile:
EXPERIENCE
* Customs software preferably Cargo Wise
* Indepth experience of public bonded warehouse facility including reporting and route cause analysis
* Practical experience in creating customs declarations including good understanding of trade tariff, document codes/supporting document codes and preferential agreements
* Familiar with certificate of origins and CITES
* Understanding of document codes
