Westmorland & Furness Council are seeking passionate and experienced Children & Families Social Workers to join their Support and Protect Team. Responsibilities
* Safeguard Children: Undertake statutory duties, including Child in Need, Child Protection, and court proceedings.
* Collaborate with Families: Build strong, trusting relationships with children and their families to assess needs and develop effective care plans.
* Case Management: Handle complex cases with confidence, ensuring timely and proportionate interventions.
* Multi-Agency Working: Partner with other professionals to deliver comprehensive and coordinated support.
* Focus on Outcomes: Work towards meaningful, sustainable improvements in the lives of children and families.
Requirements
* Qualifications: Degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England.
* Experience: Proven track record in statutory children's social work, including safeguarding and court processes.
* Skills: Excellent communication, risk assessment, and decision-making skills.
* Knowledge: Thorough understanding of relevant legislation, guidance, and best practices.
