The post holder will assess, plan, evaluate and deliver all relevant aspects of patient care in a caring, compassionate and sensitive manner. Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team and contribute to the clinical governance process. Act as a mentor/preceptor to junior staff, with specific responsibility for pre-registration students.
The post holder will take delegated responsibility for the management of the clinical team and the maintenance of high standards of quality patient care on a shift basis.
Main duties of the job
Are you an RN with an interest in complex health and the management of the acutely unwell patient and looking for a role at Wythenshawe Hospital? We are looking for nurses with a passion for working with patients with complex needs.
Ward F12 is a complex health medical ward with a specialism in care of the older person. It consists of 28 beds. The ward works using a multidisciplinary approach and is looking for new team members who have an interest in frailty and caring for the older person with complex medical needs.
A structured induction and training program ensures that our nurses receive the following:
* Band 5 induction
* Corporate and Clinical induction
* Preceptorship and clinical skills program for Nurses led by Practice Based Educators
* Administration of IV drugs
There will also be the opportunity to attend the LEAD courses provided by the trust.

Salary: £29,970 to £36,483 a year (Per Annum, Pro Rata)
