We are recruiting a Full-Time, permanent Project Worker to join our accommodation-based support service in Tredegar, Blaenau Gwent. This is a great opportunity to support a range of individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness.
We support a range of individuals and families who have experienced homelessness and have varying needs, such as mental health issues, substance misuse issues and learning difficulties. You will support the individuals to develop independent living skills to enable them to move onto independent sustainable accommodation.

You will play a key part in enabling individuals to achieve their goals and empower them to lead independent lives.
Every day is different and every day you would learn new skills and have the opportunity to work with a variety of agencies such as housing, DWP, social services and health visitors.
Day to Day Duties:
Your role will be hands-on, working collaboratively with the people we support to reach their goals and help them positively move on into their own tenancy. This is a fun and unique role where you could participate in the workshops and fun activities that take place. You also get to feel the rewards of seeing someone you have supported positively move on into their own tenancy and achieve their goals.
Your day will consist of:
- Engaging and interacting with the people we support
- Writing and following a support plan with the individual you are supporting
- Delivering workshops relating to tenancy management and health and wellbeing
- Liaising with external agencies
- Supporting with external appointments to GPs and job centres
- Organising and participating in activities and day trips
- Dealing with any conflict that arises
- Addressing any additional needs the people we support might have
The exact salary for this position is £25,486.00
Work pattern: A 4-week rolling rota - Monday - Sunday 08:00 - 22:00 - minimum of every other weekend.
