A Doncaster Primary School is seeking a Supply Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 3 pupil who is transitioning from another school after a permanent exclusion. About the Role: As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the pupil, providing personalised learning support to help them reintegrate and succeed. You will be integral to their academic and social development, ensuring they receive the care and attention needed to thrive in a positive learning environment. Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 support for a Year 3 pupil, focusing on personalised educational and behavioral assistance.
* Build a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil to encourage confidence and engagement.
* Assist with academic tasks, ensuring learning objectives are met in line with the pupil’s individual learning plan.
* Manage and implement behavior management strategies with a focus on positive reinforcement.
* Follow school guidelines, policies, and Team Teach strategies to maintain a safe, structured, and productive learning environment.
* Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to monitor progress and adapt approaches as necessary.
Ideal Candidate:
* Experience working as a Teaching Assistant with children who require additional behavioral and emotional support.
* Team Teach trained (or willingness to train) to manage challenging behaviors effectively.
* Strong, patient, and resilient with the ability to stay calm and professional in challenging situations.
* Passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and behavioral challenges.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with both staff and parents.
* Ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
