The Role
Based at Head Office, you will report to the Head of Group Financial Accounting and Taxation, managing a Treasury and Tax Assistant alongside providing ad hoc support to the Payroll Manager. This is a pivotal role, where you will drive the tax and treasury function for the organisation and its subsidiaries, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and strategic foresight.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement tax strategy and investment policies
Act as the go-to expert for all tax-related matters, keeping the organisation up to date with the latest tax legislation
Manage the treasury function, ensuring strong returns on assets
Oversee cash flow forecasting, cash balances, and deposits
Provide guidance on VAT, Global Tax, and Corporation Tax
Handle imports, endowments, and trust funds
Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions, including mandates, payment platforms, and documentation
Liaise with internal and external auditors
Prepare Board and committee reports on Tax & Treasury strategy and risk management
Who We’re Looking For:
ACCA/ACA qualified
A commercially minded professional, focused on finding the best solutions for the organisation
Experience operating at a senior level, engaging with a range of stakeholders within a large and complex organisation
Proven track record in Tax and Treasury functions
Strong strategic vision, with an ability to see the bigger picture and its impact on the organisation.
