Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £28,000 - £38,000 + Benefits, depending on experience
We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with Rail industry experience to join our business. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a self-motivated and highly organised QS to work alongside our project team.
The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team engaged on large scale investment projects across the West Midlands region.
Responsibilities will include:
1. Provide a leading role to support the projects and the programme with commercial information and advice ensuring compliance with governance.
2. Providing a positive commercial influence on the strategy, behaviours, and delivery of the operational activities.
3. Cost reporting – assessing value to date, supply chain valuations and forward forecasting to completion.
4. Production, management and communication of the periodic CVR documentation.
5. Driving risk and change management, mentoring the wider project teams as part of this.
6. Support with pre and post contract procurement activities as appropriate.
7. Estimating and cost planning for new projects/elements of work as they arise.
8. Production of contractual correspondence and leading on record keeping processes and behaviours.

Person Specification Qualifications:
1. Holding or working toward a construction commercial qualification, such as quantity surveying or commercial management preferred.
2. Knowledge and Experience Working in a finance or commercial function within the engineering or construction sector.
3. Knowledge of finance systems Cost and budget administration.
4. Financial and commercial reporting.
5. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
