RESPONSIBLE TO Line Manager
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB To act as an administrative assistant for the Trust
Main Functions
* To word-process and produce Trust documentation as requested.
* To draft correspondence to parents/carers, staff, governors and external agencies.
* To deal with enquiries, answering the telephone and relaying messages to staff and pupils.
* To maintain efficient filing, indexing and internal correspondence systems.
* To support the Trust in the production of reports and policy documents as required.
* To minute meetings as required.
* To deal with all confidential matters with tact and discretion.
* To assist with ordering and maintaining school supplies.
* To provide cover at other Trust sites as required.

Knowledge
1.1 A basic knowledge of the work of a school
1.2 Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, a range of computer applications including Word,
Excel, SharePoint and BROMCOM
Experience
2.1 Experience of producing documents of a high standard
2.2 Experience of undertaking a range of clerical and administrative duties, including data input
Skills & Abilities
3.1 Ability to word-process documents quickly and accurately
3.2 Ability to work in an organised and methodical manner
3.3 Ability to develop efficient record keeping systems
3.4 Ability to produce accurate and up-to-date records and reports as required
3.5 Ability to identify work priorities and manage own workload to meet deadlines whilst ensuring
that lower priority work is kept up to date
3.6 Ability to show sensitivity and objectivity in dealing with confidential issues
