Role:
Due to ongoing and longer term project commitments, we are looking for Offshore Survey Representatives to work on a variety of subsea cable projects. Offshore Survey Representatives will be responsible for overseeing the survey activities on behalf of the Client, ensuring that all offshore survey operations are executed in accordance with the project specifications, industry standards and marine licence requirements. The Offshore Survey Representatives will be the primary point of contact between the Client and the offshore survey team, ensuring smooth coordination and reporting while maintaining the highest standards of HSEQ and Operational performance.
Primary Roles & Responsibilities include:
* Act as the Client representative during offshore survey operations, ensuring that work is performed in accordance with agreed project requirements.
* Monitor and evaluate survey activities, including but not limited to site preparation, positioning, data collection, and analysis of results.
* Ensure proper documentation of survey results, including the review and verification of survey reports, data logs, and other relevant records.
* Conduct regular audits and quality checks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the survey data.
* Maintain clear and consistent communication with the onshore team, providing daily reports and updates on operational performance, survey progress, and any potential issues.
Requirements
* A hands-on approach, with a can do attitude and willingness work with a team at all levels.
* Demonstrable surveying expertise with strong construction and operational knowledge, experienced as a Client Representative, Senior Surveyor or Party Chief.
* Familiarity with international survey standards, such as those from IHO, IAG, and ISO, as well as industry best practices.
* Ideally Chartered and holding a relevant qualification in fields such as Engineering, Surveying, Geology, Geosciences, Mapping Sciences or similarly related discipline.
* Competent in the use of full suite of current industry survey software and equipment.
* Have detailed knowledge & skills relating to geophysical, geotechnical and hydrographic data acquisition.
* Have detailed knowledge & skills for data processing and interpretation of survey data including but not limited to: multibeam echosounder, GNSS tides, SVPs, USBL, backscatter, sidescan sonar, seismic, sub bottom profiler and magnetometer.
