Are you a clinician with experience in Paediatric Musculoskeletal (MSK) care? This is your chance to be part of a growing and innovative Paediatric MSK Physiotherapy Team!
About Us:Our paediatric MSK service caters to children aged 0-18, referred by consultants. We provide care in outpatient settings, including Clinic 10 and the Children's Centre. Led by a Band 7 Paediatric MSK Team Leader, our team includes a rotational Band 6 physiotherapist. We offer a weekly Children's Gym Exercise class and hydrotherapy sessions, fostering a close collaboration with the Paediatric Orthopaedic team and direct access to the 8a Extended Scope Practitioner (ESP) in orthopaedics.
Your Role:
• Diverse Caseload: Work with children presenting a wide range of MSK conditions, from congenital issues to post-operative care, traumatic injuries, and growth-related conditions. Examples include patella dislocations, post-achilles lengthening, hamstring tenotomies, fractures, Perthes disease, developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH), tip-toe walking, anterior knee pain, and various apophysitis conditions.
• Neurodiverse Care: Treat children with differing needs, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or ADHD.
• Holistic Approach: Develop engaging treatment plans tailored to each child's needs, adapting your communication skills to effectively interact with children and their families.
• Professional Development:Benefit from regular supervisions with the team lead, attend MSK and paediatric-specific in-service training sessions, and access additional courses and resources.
