Hours or work: 37 hours per week x 39 weeks per year
NJC Grade D pay scale, scp 8 – 14 £25,992 - £28,624 FTE per annum
Actual salary: £22,414 - £24,684 per annum
We are recruiting to appoint an exceptional PA who will provide efficient, effective and confidential support to the Headteacher and our Senior Leadership Team. The successful candidate must be able to form effective relationships with pupils, parents/carers and staff. They will be a self-motivated, experienced administrator with excellent organisational, time management, IT and literacy skills which they can apply across a wide range of tasks. They should have a friendly, calm and professional manner with the ability to be adaptable and resilient in this busy, rewarding role.

Main duties and responsibilities
•To manage the Headteacher’s diary and electronic diary, arranging meetings, appointments, organising meetings and venues, arranging hospitality and undertaking follow-up action as necessary.
•Ensuring the headteacher has the necessary paperwork for meetings in advance.
•To act as the first point of contact for visitors to the Headteacher with diplomacy, professionalism and courtesy, providing refreshments as required.
•To open, prioritise, deal with and distribute all correspondence addressed to the Headteacher and to deal with other unspecified school mail as required.
•To manage the headteachers inbox: prioritising, coding and filing emails as appropriate.
•To produce and collate documentation required by the Headteacher, working to short deadlines and ensuring that all documents are fully and accurately completed.
•To compose and send out routine letters as directed by the Headteacher and respond on the Headteacher’s behalf to all other correspondence.
•To provide administration support for the Headteacher and Senior Management Team when required.
•To maintain a helpful, professional demeanour at all times and receive queries and complaints in a calm, positive and reassuring manner.
•To co-ordinate arrangements for a variety of meetings and assemble materials and prepare papers as may be required for meetings and appointments.
•Organise hospitality when required for meetings, in liaison with other staff.
•Act as a point of contact for matters relating to the Ofsted inspection arrangements. It is expected that the postholder would work additional hours during an Ofsted inspection.
•Assist with managing the school’s email inbox, ensuring the school meets its expected response times and emails are dealt with or forwarded to the relevant staff member as necessary.
•To collate paperwork needed for headteacher reports to the governing body, such as suspension and exclusion paperwork.
