We are introducing a dedicated Turbo Operations Manager role to lead the development and growth of our Turbo product line across the UK & Nordics (UK&N). With significant growth aspirations in the EMEA region, this senior leadership position is crucial to our mission of expanding our steam turbine and compressor business.
Based at our state-of-the-art service centre in Birmingham Business Park, near Birmingham International Airport, you will oversee the operational development and service execution of our turbo business. With cutting-edge additive manufacturing and digital technologies at your disposal, you will be at the forefront of innovation in rotating equipment repair. Due to the nature of the role, we offer flexibility, working on a hybrid basis that balances time at home, with customers and suppliers, and in the workshop.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
* Develop industry-leading turbomachinery capabilities, focusing on workshop activities to support ambitious growth targets.
* Design and continuously enhance workshop capabilities for multi-branded 3rd-party steam turbines and process compressors.
* Build and manage a high-performing repair engineering team, technicians, and administration staff.
* Execute the TS Go-to-Market (G2M) strategy in collaboration with senior leaders and sales teams.
* Partner with procurement to establish and monitor key suppliers.
* Develop cost models and standardise commercial processes for equipment repair solutions.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Proven senior leadership experience within the turbomachinery or related industry.
* Expertise in steam turbine and compressor repair and maintenance.
* Strong understanding of quality standards and compliance (e.g., API 687, Achilles UVDB, SEQual).
* Demonstrated success in driving operational growth and achieving revenue targets.
* Exceptional leadership and team-building capabilities.
* Strategic mindset with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
* Commitment to health and safety excellence.
