Job Description
Job Purpose:
The MEP Tech will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings, meeting or exceeding customer’s and Elite’s standards. Must have a strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Install, repair, and maintain mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings
2. Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems
3. Perform routine maintenance on mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems
4. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
5. Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations
6. Communicate effectively with clients and team members
7. Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used
8. Practice excellent work ethic
9. Listen well and communicate effectively
10. Demonstrate integrity in all work
11. Represent Elite in a positive and professional manner at all times, including while operating company vehicles
12. Any other tasks as needed or assigned by supervisors
Requirements:
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Completion of a technical school program in mechanical, plumbing, or electrical systems
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical, plumbing, or electrical systems installation, repair, and maintenance
4. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
5. Ability to work independently or as part of a team
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
7. Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations
8. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
9. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
