Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated female Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in a home care setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, the ability to follow care plans effectively, and must drive and have access to a car due to the remote location. This position is vital in delivering high-quality care and enhancing the lives of those we serve.
Duties
* Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
* Support patients in following their individual care plans, ensuring all needs are met.
* Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on patient status.
* Maintain accurate records of patient care and report any changes in condition to the nursing staff.
* Assist with meal preparation and feeding as required.
* Help maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
* Drive to various locations if required for home care visits.
Experience
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
* Familiarity with IT systems for record-keeping and communication purposes is advantageous.
* Strong English communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with patients and team members.
* A valid driving licence is beneficial for those required to travel between locations.
* Ability to work as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when needed.
