Document Controller Mechanical Engineering Contractor Permanent: Up to £40,000 Package Hybrid Working: 3/4 days in the office in Maidenhead We are currently searching for a Document Controller for a leading specialist Mechanical Engineering contractor in Maidenhead. Due to growth and very healthy orderbook, they have just opened a new office and as a result are increasing their headcount. As Document Controller you will be responsible for managing the data flow between the contractor, main contractor and designers for live and upcoming projects throughout the UK and Europe. General Duties: Document Management: Collect, organize, and maintain project documents, such as drawings, contracts, specifications, and reports. Data Entry and Tracking: Ensure all documents are accurately logged and tracked in the project database or document control system. Version Control: Maintain updated records of document versions and revisions to ensure teams are working with the latest information. Compliance: Verify that documents meet regulatory, quality, and client standards before distribution. Distribution: Distribute documents to relevant team members, contractors, and stakeholders, ensuring timely access. Archiving: Organize and archive completed project documents for easy retrieval and future reference. Coordination: Work closely with project teams, engineers, and contractors to provide document support and address document-related issues. Reporting: Generate and deliver reports on document status, distribution, and compliance as needed. Experience Required: Minimum of 2/3 years Document Controller experience in the construction/civil engineering sector. Able to commute into the office in Maidenhead a minimum of 3/4 days per week. Knowledge of Document Control software such as 4Projects, Viewpoint, and Sharepoint.
