Job Description:
A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated HR Professional to join our People team within NHS Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care Board (ICB). The newly created role of Associate Director of People Coordination, Standards & Projects, will support the Chief People Officer and will be crucial to the success of the People team.
NHS Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care Board was established in July and is the statutory organisation responsible for setting the strategic plan for the NHS to deliver its part of the health and care strategy across the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care System. The Integrated Care Board provides leadership and structure, acting as a system facilitator, leading on our strategic priorities and interventions, shaping the future system, planning, and executing on the common priorities.
The People function plays an important role in supporting the Integrated Care Board to make a difference in the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care System (HIOW ICS) and together with colleagues this post will be key to achieve this aim.
This role will provide direct support to the Chief People Officer (CPO), ensuring the CPO is appropriately briefed on policy, legislative, and regulatory developments that impact on the ICB’s people activities to ensure the ICB is compliant with its requirements and responsibilities.
The post-holder will undertake projects as determined by the Chief People Officer, operating at a senior level. Where there are improvement or transformation services, the Associate Director will ensure the workforce component is designed, implemented, and evaluated within the overall strategy and programme management framework.
In addition, the post-holder will advise on regulatory and HR governance best practice.
This role is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional looking for career development and perhaps a stepping stone to a Deputy Chief People Officer role and a Chief People Officer of the future. Working directly to the CPO and having regular contact with a diverse range of the Board, Senior Leadership Teams, staff, NHSE, and external agencies, you will gain a breadth of experience and exposure at a senior level.
The successful candidate must have:
* Extensive HR experience at a senior level within a complex organisation.
* The ability to work with and influence stakeholders at all levels.
* Attention to detail and the ability to write clear and concise board papers.
* Ability to adapt and flex to changing needs of the organisation.
We offer excellent employment opportunities to new and existing staff. We aim to be a model employer by embedding best HR practice and to support new ways of working.
We pride ourselves on offering good working conditions, job security, lifelong learning, fair pay and benefits, staff involvement, and a balance between work and personal life.
We enjoy a forward-thinking and innovative culture, and our vision is to have healthy people, living healthy lives in healthy communities. We understand the only way to deliver this is to have the right people with the right skills.
Here is a summary of some of the benefits and services which are on offer to staff:
* 27 days paid minimum holiday and bank holiday entitlement
* Sick pay policy
* Occupational health services including staff counselling services
* Flexible working and family-friendly policies
* Flexible retirement and retirement vouchers
Successful candidates will be subject to a six-month probationary period.
