Senior Conference Producer – The Insurer
This hybrid role will be based in London.

We’re looking for a Senior Conference Producer to join The Insurer, a cross-platform, subscription-based provider of editorial coverage for the (re)insurance industry.

The Insurer's editorial team (now part of Reuters ) provides must-have content and insight for professionals working within the global (re)insurance and specialty markets and we are looking to build out our events portfolio in London, Europe and the US.
Our products include The Insurer, the go-to and digital source for news, analysis and data on the (re)insurance industry and The Insurer TV, which brings exclusive insight and intelligence on the market through video interviews, panel discussions and mini docuseries. Through our events business, The Insurer Events, we provide networking opportunities through a global series of events, conferences and awards ceremonies.
About the Role
As a Senior Conference Producer at The Insurer, you will:
1. Lead on the commercial success of major industry conferences including hitting quality, revenue and attendance targets and setting sales and marketing strategy for the entire project.
2. You will be researching markets, understanding hot business issues, developing conference agendas, and conducting high profile marketing campaigns, as well as contributing to future strategy and business planning.
3. You'll also monitor event performance, planning (strategic, financial and operational), and will provide guidance and coaching to the wider team.
4. You will oversee quality control on products, marketing and client relationships within the insurance and reinsurance industry.
About You
To be our Senior Conference Producer at The Insurer, you will most likely:
5. Have demonstrable experience of working at a commercial B2B conference company, ideally in a Producer role.
6. Have a track record of commercial and sales success, excellent project and time management skills, and the ability to work in changing circumstances.
7. Have managed entire projects at scale and/or portfolios, and/or grown commercial events/products from scratch.
8. Be commercially driven first and foremost – you should understand the commercial drivers behind our customers decisions, as our job is to help them make smarter ones!
9. An interest in business is a must, as is an entrepreneurial spirit, a readiness to take responsibility for your work and, of course, great communication skills.
10. Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, high-growth environment and work well in a team.
11. Enjoy identifying new and interesting business trends coupled with the drive to develop great events that senior business people can’t afford to miss.
12. Have great communication, research and analytical skills, alongside an entrepreneurial flair and a target-driven mindset
