Commercial team plays a critical role in driving growth, profitability and market competitiveness by balancing customer needs with financial objectives while navigating competitive and regulatory pressures.
Reporting into Head of Core Commercial, this Senior Commercial Manager will work closely with key stakeholders across the business supporting cost optimisation, maximising revenue and commercial propositions & partnerships, to deliver the anticipated margins for the business with the customer at the Core of what we do. Commercial plays a key governance role to ensure TalkTalk can remain competitive and maintain their position in the market.
What will you be doing:
1. Lead the end-to-end Commercial Governance process, to aid strategic decision making.
2. Responsible for creating and presenting business cases for new initiatives, providing financial projections and assessment post implementation.
3. Lead on commercial strategy and budget objectives and ensure resource, controls and initiatives are in place to realise the business plans.
4. Identifying risks and opportunities and shaping recommended responses using commercial analysis, presenting optionality, and driving optimised decision making.
5. Influencing external negotiations, to ensure commercial levers and performance metrics are fully validated and communicated to senior stakeholders.
6. Engage with market research and customer segmentation teams to understand customer preferences, emerging trends, and competitor activities to shape the commercial strategy to drive growth.
7. Work collaboratively with Commercial colleagues and stakeholders across TalkTalk to develop and deliver the commercial plan.
8. Manage a direct report(s) to deliver company strategy and objectives.
About you:
1. You will be a highly experienced commercial individual with significant knowledge and experience of the UK Telecoms industry.
2. You will have strong business partnering experience including working with Board / Exco.
3. You will have proven commercial / financial modelling experience.
4. You will have worked in a fast-paced environment where change is the norm.
