About the role:
The University of Central Lancashire is working with local partners to develop modern, innovative veterinary programmes, focussed on producing clinically competent, compassionate, and pragmatic graduates. The School of Veterinary Medicine believes that everyone, regardless of background, has an opportunity to turn their aspirations of a career in animal care into a reality. We are seeking to appoint applicants to deliver a range of teaching across the veterinary and animal sciences at the University including veterinary physiotherapy.
About you:
The successful candidate will provide innovative education and student support. Dependent upon experience the post holder will be expected to lead the development and delivery of teaching materials across School postgraduate and undergraduate courses and/or programmes. You will have an experience of veterinary physiotherapy and teaching and will be keen to develop and deliver a clinically integrated, outcomes-focussed course.
As a self-motivated and pro-active individual, the successful applicant will have an excellent track record of building and sustaining internal and external relationships alongside excellent communication and networking skills. The successful candidate will have a sound knowledge and practical experience of veterinary physiotherapy/ animal and/or veterinary sciences and associated technical and practical skills, with experience of leadership within a clinical or veterinary related setting.
You will be a qualified Veterinary Physiotherapist with an undergraduate degree in a veterinary, animal science or agricultural discipline as well as a Masters degree or equivalent professional specialisation. Candidates will also have a Higher education teaching qualification or professional (e.g. PGCHE, FHEA or equivalent), or a commitment to complete within one year of appointment.
