Electronics Engineering Manager
Our client, a dynamic and innovative leader in the maritime safety sector, is currently seeking a motivated and experienced Electronics Engineering Manager to oversee and optimise technical and operational functions, ensuring efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership and Team Management:
o Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers across various disciplines/teams, including mechanical, electrical, software, and process engineering.
o Push and guide a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
* Production Coordination:
o Oversee day-to-day production engineering activities, including documentation, and process improvement.
o Act as the central point of coordination between engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and other key departments.
* Project Management:
o Plan and manage engineering projects with a focus on meeting deadlines, maintaining quality, and ensuring reliability.
o Monitor project progress, ensure thorough testing at every stage, and address issues proactively.
* Process Improvement:
o Identify opportunities for process optimisation and implement solutions that enhance productivity, documentation accuracy, and cost-efficiency.
o Drive initiatives to improve product quality, reliability, and consistency.
* Technical Oversight:
o Provide technical expertise and support across all disciplines within the team.
o Ensure all activities comply with industry regulations, company standards, and robust documentation practices.
Job Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Software, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related field).
* Proven experience in a technical operations or production environment, with a track record of leadership and process improvement.
* Strong knowledge across multiple engineering disciplines.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
* Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving, testing, and continuous improvement.
* Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies (preferred).
* Commitment to quality, efficiency, and robust documentation practices.
