Responsibilities: Support our residents with in-house activities and hobbies Providing support to achieve every day goals including personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and toileting Manage some behaviours that challenge Assistant and support to attend medical appointments Observe, monitor and record physical and emotional well-being, and promptly report any changes to senior staff Provide emotional support to individuals and their families Support and monitor healthcare needs, including administering medication and temperature checks Understand communication needs and adapt your communication to each individual Work with other professionals, such as nurses and therapists, to ensure consistency of support Analyse an individual’s needs and draw up a focused support plan Qualifications and Skills Excellent interpersonal skills and a caring nature Empathy, understanding and patience Ability to work on your own and as part of a team Ability to understand and follow policies and procedure The ability to anticipate and respond to challenges Competent in verbal and written English PMVA Training (Mandatory) A healthcare qualification is desirable, but not essential To be considered for this role, we require you to have the right to work in the UK
