Job Description:
The University of Oxford is seeking an experienced Clinical Researcher to join our team in the Oxford Acute Myocardial Infarction (OxAMI) Study, located at the John Radcliffe Hospital, in the University of Oxford Radcliffe Department of Medicine (RDM) Division of Cardiovascular Medicine. RDM-Cardiovascular Medicine provides a vibrant and dynamic environment for researchers and clinicians, offering state-of-the-art facilities and a multidisciplinary team approach to cardiovascular research and clinical practice.
You will be actively involved in the OxAMI Study, recruiting patients, obtaining clinical samples, and undertaking laboratory analyses with other scientists. The new OxAMI project on which the Clinical Research Fellow will take the leading role aims to understand the molecular changes in circulating immune cells and platelets in patients with acute MI, how these relate to other disease biomarkers, and how the molecular changes could inform better understanding of disease mechanisms and treatment stratification.
You will collaborate on other grant proposals, collect and analyse imaging and clinical data, ensuring adherence to International Conference on Harmonisation (ICH) Good Clinical Practice (GCP). Other responsibilities include maintaining accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with research governance, and supporting patient recruitment.
This is a 2-year fixed term post. Only online applications received before midday on March 24th can be considered.
