As a Direct Care Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the well-being, independence, and dignity of those in need.
We are actively recruiting in the following areas: Angle Park (5010), Parafield Gardens (5107), Ingle Farm & Walkley Heights (5098), Clearview, Enfield, Enfield Plaza, Lightsview, Northfield, Northgate (5085), and Lobethal (5241). However, we welcome applications from candidates across South Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
* Personal Care: Assist with daily hygiene tasks (bathing, dressing, grooming) while ensuring comfort and privacy.
* Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
* Household Tasks: Help with light housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
* Companionship: Engage in meaningful conversations and activities to foster social interaction and mental well-being.
* Health Monitoring: Report any changes in health or behavior to the office team.
* Transportation: Assist clients with transportation to appointments or social events.
* Documentation: Keep accurate records of care provided and report any concerns.
What You Bring:
* Certificate in Aged Care or Community Care or Disability is desirable.
* Being bilingual is also desirable but not necessary.
* Current First Aid Certificate and CPR.
* Empathy, patience, and respect for the individuality of those you care for.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with care teams.
* Understanding of aged care and disability issues.
* The right to work unrestricted in Australia (evidence required).
* A current National Police Records Check, dated within the last 3 months (or willingness to apply).
* A Working with Children Check (or willingness to apply).
* An NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willingness to apply).
* Minimum of 2 doses COVID-19 Vaccine.
