Job summary Audiologist - Band 5 The audiology team at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust are looking for an enthusiastic audiologist with a passion for quality care to join their large, friendly, forward thinking department. As a band 5 Audiologist you will be expected to have previous clinical experience of working independently in adult audiology clinics, although this may include robust university clinical placements. As a department, we have a strong focus on training, mentorship and continued professional development and have been IQIPS accredited since 2014. You will have a degree (or equivalent) in Audiology and have obtained, or be working towards, professional state registration. Main duties of the job Clinical Role You will have experience in providing adult diagnostic hearing assessment and adult rehabilitation work You will have prior experience of independently providing ENT support and hearing aid repair and maintenance for service users. The service is based in Reading but is delivered across a number of Berkshire and South Oxfordshire locations. The clinician will be part of the team working across these sites to support the local community. Additional Responsibilities Motivation to develop and diversify your clinical skills in order to manage a complex caseloads and potentially support other clinics within the department (i.e. paediatrics, tinnitus) There will be opportunities to push service quality and the technical knowledge forward.
