Job summary The role is for a qualified Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP). This is development position, providing the opportunity to develop skills and experience to progress to a Breast surgery ACP. You will be expected to undertake and complete the Breast examination and client communication course within the first 12 months.The post-holder will be primarily based at University Hospital Coventry (UHCW) but will also be required to work across multiple UHCW contracted sites such as St Cross Hospital Rugby. Main duties of the job We are looking for a high profile, accessible and responsive leader, with managerial and clinical responsibility for the delivery of Advanced Clinical Practice/ breast surgery. The successful candidate should be able to make informed decisions dependent upon competence, experience and qualification within their own speciality and scope of professional practice, involving patients and public to ensure agreed standards, targets and objectives are met. Working as part of the breast surgical team, the post holder will practice autonomously in breast surgery, to provide initial assessment and ongoing care for elective and non-elective patients, whilst being accountable and self-directed in line with the relevant code of professional conduct.
