Position Overview:
W Talent Engineering and Manufacturing are seeking a highly skilled and apprenticed trained Maintenance Manager to oversee all aspects of this state of the art manufacturing facility based in Derbyshire. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing maintenance procedures, managing a team of maintenance engineers, and ensuring the reliability and efficiency of all manufacturing equipment.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement maintenance policies and procedures to ensure the reliability and efficiency of manufacturing equipment.
Plan and schedule preventive maintenance activities to minimise downtime and optimise equipment performance.
Manage a team of maintenance engineers, providing leadership, guidance, and training as needed.
Manage a team of maintenance engineers, to challenge status quo and drive behavioural change
Coordinate with production and engineering teams to prioritise maintenance tasks and minimise disruptions to production schedules.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify maintenance needs and address issues in a timely manner.
Oversee the procurement of spare parts and maintenance supplies, ensuring adequate inventory levels and cost-effective purchasing practices.
Monitor maintenance performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety among maintenance staff.
Develop and manage the maintenance budget, tracking expenses and identifying opportunities for cost savings. Requirements:
HNC/HND, apprentice trained in an engineering discipline is required
A bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline would be advantageous
Multi skilled engineering capability would be advantageous
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
Proven experience in maintenance management within a manufacturing environment.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Proficiency in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office applications.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritise tasks What's on Offer:
