An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Estates and Facilities Department for a Catering Facilities Management Assistant (FMA) at Maghull Health Park.
Main duties of the job
The post is suited to an enthusiastic team member who will work within our catering team. The post holder will work with the cooks to provide fresh high quality food while adhering to food hygiene and cleanliness standards.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Main Responsibilities:
* To work as members of a team, carrying out facilities tasks as allocated and prioritised, including:
* Cleaning in the kitchen
* Delivering patient meals to the ward kitchen serveries
* Basic food preparation
* Preparing and delivering buffets
* Fridge and food temperature monitoring
* Till operation
To assist colleagues and their line manager, carry out assigned tasks, and support the minimisation of overtime and sickness costs to the Trust. To undertake all mandatory training as required and ensure that all training is kept up to date.
To comply with all relevant policies and procedures, including health & safety, security, manual handling, and food safety.
To ensure timely and accurate completion of documentation and to use data on information systems.
Internal Contacts: Contact with staff of all disciplines and at all levels in the course of day-to-day domestic and catering duties.
External Contacts: Contact with visitors to the Trust and contractors working on site.
Person specification
Qualifications
* NHS experience and training in safety, health, and catering or cleaning tasks
* CIEH Foundation Certificate in Food Hygiene, or equivalent
Knowledge/ Experience
* Working in a similar role
* Experience of working in the NHS or a similar role
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Qualifications in Food Safety, food hygiene, or equivalent
* Flexibility to carry out manual tasks
* Knowledge of national standards for cleaning
* Knowledge of COSHH
* Able to maintain accurate records
* Knowledge of stock rotation
