The Role:
This role is perfect for someone starting their fashion product copywriting career who is eager to learn and grow.
The Product Copywriter is an office-based role working with our small in-house team at our London Studio.
You will be working closely with New Look products: writing directly from the designs to ensure accurate product descriptions are available for our customers. Working across our women’s, men’s, accessories and 915 collections, it’s as close to the action as you can get (and great for getting ahead with your wish list!). You’ll need to get to grips with our brand tone of voice and apply it to each product description you write, conveying who we are and what we stand for as you spotlight the USPs of each item.
The New Look Product Copy Team work closely with buying departments and the wider business including creative copy and brand to ensure our product copy spotlights focal features and incorporates popular sale-driven narratives.
You will be part of exciting projects such as working with the buyers on product copy enrichment and customer insight research.

What you’ll be doing:
* Based at our London Studio location, working directly with product to write compelling descriptions for all departments across the site, covering women’s, men’s, accessories, homeware, footwear, tall, petite, curves, maternity and 915.
* Inputting all product information into the CMS, including wash care, product details, dimensions, and keywords.
* Regularly sub-editing the site to ensure copy is free from errors and discrepancies.
* Always being up to date with any buyers' notes, creative narratives, new terms, relevant keywords, and descriptions.
* Working to strict deadlines – all products allocated to you must be complete by the end of each working day.
* Awareness of SEO impacts on product descriptions and titles, working with the SEO team to ensure correct terms are used where applicable.
* Writing PLP copy for a variety of categories and sub-categories.
* Ensuring the New Look tone of voice is adhered to across all copy.
Who you are:
* Being a fast, adaptable writer with an eye for spelling and grammar as well as the ability to incorporate a creative flare, is a must.
* You should have a thorough knowledge of fashion terms and design construction, a basic understanding of SEO and a high level of computer literacy as you’ll need to use spreadsheets and an ecommerce platform/CMS.
* Entry level with some relevant industry experience.
* English or similar Fashion/Communication at degree level.
* An eagerness to learn, develop and evolve in a rewarding role.
* Enthusiasm and a keen interest in storytelling.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Curious mentality with the ability to problem solve with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
* An interest in retail, fashion and/or popular culture.
* Able to write concise, creative and compelling copy with an eye for spelling and grammar.
* Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage daily administrative tasks, small long-term projects, and ad-hoc requests.
* The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage target dates effectively.
* The ability to prioritise, use initiative and perform under pressure.
