Pertemps are pleased to be working alongside a Chelmsford based Secondary School looking to take on a Full Time Teacher of Geography.
This well-regarded secondary school is part of a reputable school trust. The role:
The school is seeking a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality geography lessons that inspire and challenge students. The role involves ensuring that pupils achieve their full potential, both academically and in their personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver engaging and effective geography lessons for secondary school students.
2. Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to support their development.
3. Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of all students, including those with SEND.
4. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages respect and cooperation.
5. Participate in extracurricular activities, clubs, and school trips to enhance the educational experience.
6. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the department.
7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the geography curriculum.
Pertemps Ideal Candidate:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
2. Proven experience teaching geography at the secondary school level.
3. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
6. A passion for geography and the ability to inspire a love of learning about the world in students.
Additional Information:
* DBS Enhanced Certificate on the Update (not essential) as well as recent references.
* Personal vehicle preferred but not essential.
- School hours are typically 8:30 to 15:20 Monday to Friday
