About theRole:
We are seeking anexperienced and motivated Build Manager to lead and deliver Fibreto the Premises (FTTP) projects across Scotland. As a Build Manageryou will be a crucial part of our team providing leadershipdirection and development to the Delivery Team. You will workclosely with the Program Manager to ensure projects are completedon time within budget and to the highest standards of quality andsafety.
KeyResponsibilities:
* Quality& Safety Leadership: Champion excellence in Quality Healthand Safety practices across all aspects of the build ensuring highstandards are maintained both within Comex 2000 and among ourcontractors.
* DataManagement: Oversee all buildrelated data in systems such as GISand DepotNet ensuring accuracy andcompliance.
* ProjectDelivery: Manage the endtoend delivery of FTTP projects within thebuild area ensuring contractor performance meets time cost andqualitytargets.
* StakeholderCommunication: Serve as the primary point of contact forescalations related to contractual matters working closely with theCommercialTeam.
* Governance& Control: Conduct governance meetings with suppliers tomaintain control and oversight of the project sprogress.
* RiskManagement: Implement robust management processes for riskmitigation forecasting and budget control to ensure projects aredelivered on time and withinbudget.
* Documentation:Ensure all completion documentation and AsBuilt information isaccurate and handed over within the agreedSLA.
* CostEfficiency: Identify and deliver costsaving opportunities acrossthe deliveryteam.
* SupplierManagement: Oversee the operational relationship with all suppliersensuring they meet contractual KPIs technical specifications andcosttargets.
* MultiStreamManagement: Manage multiple work streams for deploying FTTP andMetronetworks.
* Reporting:Provide regular updates to the Head of Build highlighting potentialissues and implementing risk mitigation and recovery plans asneeded.
* BudgetOwnership: Own and manage the city budget tracking spend to ensureadherence to financialtargets.
* LocalEngagement: Build and maintain relationships with local councilsand highways authorities to facilitate smooth projectdelivery.
Requirements
Knowledge&Experience:
* Provenexperience delivering medium to large multisite projects managingcapital budgets up to10M.
* Extensive telecoms and ITservice management experience ideally within a global clientcontext.
* Strongleadership skills with a proven ability to motivate and leadteams.
* Exceptionalpresentation skills with the ability to engage executivelevelclients andstakeholders.
* Thoroughunderstanding of contract management andreporting.
DesirableQualifications:
* CivilEngineering qualifications/Fibre Opticcertifications.
* ValidNRSWA Street Works Supervisor Certification (Units 11016).
* Experiencein telecoms or similar utilitiessectors.
* Provenability to identify and deliver additional projectopportunities.
