People Advisor/HR Adviser - 12 month FTC
Ideally based in one of the following locations - Milton Keynes, Birmingham, Cambridge, Chelmsford, Leicester

A look into the role
You will be part of a flexible team that supports the business on people annual life cycle activities related to performance, talent and reward. You will also guide and coach people managers in the effective management of their people, including performance concerns, absence and investigation and disciplinary cases. Supporting the Senior People Advisers and People Advisory Managers, you will be responsible for delivering on our people strategy, people deal, people initiatives and the annual people experience cycle.
Given the importance of this role, there will be exciting opportunities for the right person to expand their knowledge and develop their skillset.
Knowing you’re right for us
Joining us as a People Adviser the minimum criteria you’ll need is:
1. Experience within a generalist HR function working with large client groups
2. You will have experience supporting the business with employee relations activity such as absence management, capability and investigation and disciplinary processes
3. Be confident in the use of Excel to manipulate, analyse and present data
4. Strong stakeholder management and adaptive communication skills
5. Examples of how you have supported people managers with initiatives that have made a positive impact on their team.
It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way:
1. Experience of working in a large, complex organisation
2. Experience of collaborating in a service line structure and centres of excellence teams
3. Delivered Inclusion and Diversity interventions, to raise awareness, encourage open and honest conversations an allow our people to be themselves at work
4. Experience of owning people processes such as salary and bonus review, performance moderation and talent management.
5. Ideally CIPD qualified
