About the Role:
A welcoming primary school in Hackney is seeking a compassionate and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to support children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and non-verbal communication needs. This role is ideal for someone with a nurturing approach who can create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for young learners. You will play a vital role in helping children with additional needs thrive in their early years of education.
Responsibilities:
Provide tailored 1:1 support to EYFS children, particularly those with ASD and non-verbal communication needs.
Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other support staff to implement effective strategies that promote communication and engagement.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Assist with the planning and delivery of activities that cater to the individual needs of students, encouraging their participation and learning.
Use appropriate communication methods, including visual aids and sign language, to support non-verbal learners.Requirements:
