Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Volunteer/Physical Therapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality patient care in a hospital setting. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the implementation of treatment plans designed to improve patients' mobility and overall physical function. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to work effectively in an acute care environment.
Gain experience in:
* Assisting physical therapists in conducting patient assessments and developing treatment plans.
* Implementing therapeutic exercises and modalities as directed by the physical therapist.
* Monitoring patient progress and reporting any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist.
* Educating patients and their families on treatment protocols, exercises, and home care strategies.
* Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
* Ensuring a safe and clean environment for patients during therapy sessions.
* Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
