The Department of Clinical Research has an exciting opportunity to support acute research trials and research staff in all areas of data management.
If you are interested in research, understand the importance of confidentiality, and can work confidently on your own initiative then this may be the job for you.
You'll join a friendly and experienced team, managing acute studies across the wider Department of Clinical Research.
Main duties of the job
The purpose of your new role will be to provide administrative and data support for acute research trials and research staff in all areas of data managements. You'll offer valuable support to the Research Nurses with their data and paperwork to ensure that clinical trials and studies are set up and approved in a timely manner.
An in-depth induction and training period will be provided. Some clinical, admin and NHS research experience would be an advantage but not essential, along with a good teamwork approach.
The role is interesting and dynamic and offers you the opportunity to make a positive contribution to acute research studies in the NHS.

Qualifications
Essential
1. Good standard of education: English, Mathematics and a science GCSE (or equivalent)
2. Educated to A-level or Level 3 Advanced Diploma
3. Computer qualification (eg. European Computer Driving License, MOST) or ability to demonstrate a high standard of proficiency in MS Office and electronic file management
Desirable
4. Degree or working towards NVQ level 3, or equivalent experience in business and administration
Experience

5. Data management, writing and running reports
6. Experience of working in the NHS or similar organisation
7. Experience of dealing with patients or the public

8. Experience in clinical data collection or audit
9. Experience working with medical records
