An opportunity has arisen within the Alloy Maintenance Department for a Multiskilled Maintenance Technician. This is a permanent, full-time shift position on a three-shift rotation.
Main Responsibilities:
* Minimise production downtime by troubleshooting breakdowns and preventing reoccurrences.
* Work with electrical and mechanical drawings and documentation to undertake fault finding and modification of plant and equipment.
* Use a Maintenance Management System to carry out preventative/planned maintenance work.
* Contribute to improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment reliability and reducing recurring issues.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment adhering to all EHS Company policies.
* Continuously enhance job knowledge through training and development opportunities.
* Perform electrical and mechanical work, including fabrication, welding, and some minor electrical installation work as required.
Qualifications
* Successful completion of a time-served apprenticeship with a minimum level 3 qualification, BTEC/City and Guilds or equivalent.
* Recently demonstrated multiskilled proficiency in electrical, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, fabrication, and welding.
* Experience in vacuum technology is advantageous but not essential.
* Proven competency in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical diagrams as well as troubleshooting control panels.
* Ability to pass medical assessments for working at height and in confined spaces.
* Computer literacy and familiarity with office software applications.
* Resilient, resourceful approach, with sound judgment and decision-making skills.
* Proactive work ethic, strong initiative, and the ability to operate independently within a shift team environment.
