Related Fluid Power is a market leader in the design, development, manufacture, and supply of hydraulic controls and mini power packs to globally recognised OEMs. As part of our ongoing growth, we are looking for a Purchasing Administrator to join our busy team at our Cuparmuir facility in Cupar, Fife.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the purchasing function and ensuring materials and stock are available to meet production and customer needs. This is a fast-paced environment where strong administration skills and attention to detail will help you succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Raise purchase orders for bought-out goods and non-production items
2. Maintain stock control, carry out stock audits, and update records
3. Track and expedite purchase orders, including customs documentation
4. Liaise with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries and resolve any quality issues
5. Provide regular data and reports using MRP systems and Excel
6. Maintain accurate material data and support material planning activities
7. Assist in monitoring supplier performance
8. Communicate closely with design, manufacturing, and production teams
What We're Looking For:
1. Experience in a purchasing or materials administration role
2. Confident user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
3. Familiarity with MRP or similar systems (advantageous)
4. Strong organisational skills and keen attention to detail
5. Good communication and interpersonal skills
6. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently
7. A positive, problem-solving attitude with a team-focused approach
