Holt Engineering are seeking an experienced Production Engineer to join our clients' team in Farnborough. If you have a background in Defence and a passion for electronics, this permanent role offers a great opportunity to contribute to their innovative projects.
Production Engineer Overview:
As a Production Engineer, you will ensure their products meet customer requirements and uphold quality standards. Reporting to the Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Quality Management: Conduct tests, fault finding, and inspections to meet ISO9001:2015 standards. Record non-conformances and produce necessary drawings.
Workload Planning: Monitor and report on workload levels and resource needs.
Technical Assistance: Resolve issues in the Electronics Workshop and provide training on electronics principles and equipment.
Continuous Improvement: Aim for targets and suggest process improvements. Engage in the Continuous Sustainable Improvement Programme.
Workplace Safety: Adhere to health and safety guidelines and ensure a safe working environment.
Environmental Best Practice: Minimise waste and promote environmental protection.
Plant Maintenance: Oversee workshop housekeeping and equipment maintenance. Conduct regular inspections and maintain a tidy workspace.
Customer Satisfaction: Ensure products and documentation meet customer needs and foster positive relationships.
Quote Preparation and Sales Support: Assist with costed quotations and provide technical sales support as needed.
Production Engineer Requirements:
Experience as a Production Engineer, preferably in the Defence sector.
Strong electronics knowledge and quality management skills.
Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Technical support and training experience.
Commitment to continuous improvement and environmental practices.
Professional communication skills.
