Security Operations Manager, Studios Protective Services

We are looking for a London area-based Security Operations Manager at Amazon Studios to join a team of security professionals who are responsible for the physical security of our UK Amazon Studios properties.
The Security Operations Manager will be responsible for all aspects of vendor management, ensuring that operational SLAs are being met, and that vendor relationships are healthy. In addition, the role will need to build trust with other Amazon teams working in the same space, including Production Security, Special Event Security, Investigations, Intelligence, and Real Estate & Facilities.
The successful candidate must have a proven record of effective leadership capabilities, be innovative and creative when working to solve problems, and demonstrate good judgment while under pressure. They will also be able to operate autonomously, use discretion when dealing with sensitive and critical information, and apply sound business principles and data analysis to identify problems and initiate actions to address them. The SOM will be required to occasionally work variable hours, weekends and public holidays in support of production and special event activities.
Key job responsibilities
1. Secure Amazon Studios UK-based properties using appropriate vendors and technology.
2. As part of a cross-functional team, assess suitability of future Amazon Studios properties.
3. Project manage security infrastructure improvements, including scope building, gathering & assessing proposals, vendor selection & management, budget management, etc.
4. Provide recommendations to the Senior Manager on the strategic direction of SecOps in the UK and EMEA in order to keep pace with growing Amazon Studios activities.
5. Provide leadership and management to Site Security Managers and their teams.
6. Identify and manage emerging threats, and maintain situational awareness in the areas of responsibility.
7. Support development, maintenance, and testing of security policies and procedures, and incident management and notification plans.
8. Work cross-functionally to ensure the needs of our customers are met to a consistently bar-raising standard.
9. Build external relationships with relevant agencies (e.g. Fire, Police) local to Amazon Studios properties.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor’s degree or minimum of 10+ years experience on a corporate security team in progressive management roles, or equivalent experience.
2. Experience with vendor management.
3. Security and safety training skills, qualifications or experience.
4. Experience with project management and working independently.
5. Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) in a professional environment.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with senior company leadership.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Studio or entertainment industry experience.
2. One or more professional certifications, such as CPP, PSP, or other comparable certifications.
3. Strong working knowledge of physical security systems.
4. Infrastructure improvement project management experience.
5. High ethical standards with proven ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information, excellent judgment, discretion and diplomacy.
6. Experience researching, gathering and analyzing structured event data/trends.
7. Ability to adapt to fast paced environments with changing circumstances, direction and strategy.
8. Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
