Financial Controller Full-Time | £60,000 - £65,000 Office Bases - Gravesend Goldhawk Associates is partnering with a growing organisation to recruit an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function. This is a newly created role, offering a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of financial operations, streamline processes, and support commercial decision-making. The Role As Financial Controller, you will oversee all aspects of financial management, ensuring robust reporting, compliance, and strategic insights. Key responsibilities include: Financial Reporting – Producing accurate monthly accounts and delivering key financial insights. Payroll & Compliance – Managing payroll and handling statutory submissions, including VAT and CIS. Commercial Finance – Partnering with key stakeholders to provide financial analysis that drives decision-making. Process Improvement – Identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and financial accuracy. Cash Flow & Controls – Managing bank reconciliations, cash flow forecasting, and credit control. Audit & Governance – Overseeing the annual audit process and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Leadership & Development – Supporting and mentoring an Accounts Assistant, fostering their professional growth. What We’re Looking For A qualified accountant (or QBE) with proven experience in a similar financial leadership role. Strong financial acumen, with the ability to interpret reports and provide commercial insights. Experience managing and developing staff in a finance setting. Excellent organisational skills, able to balance multiple priorities effectively. Strong IT proficiency, particularly in Excel and accounting software. Why Apply?
