About the Role: As the Head of RE, you will be responsible for leading the RE department and delivering outstanding teaching to students in both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will manage and develop a team of RE teachers, ensuring that all students receive a high-quality, well-rounded education that not only teaches religious studies but also nurtures spiritual and moral development. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage the RE department, setting high expectations for student achievement and teacher performance. - Deliver engaging, creative, and well-structured lessons to both KS3 and KS4 students. - Plan, implement, and evaluate the RE curriculum in line with both the school's vision and the National Curriculum. - Monitor and track student progress, providing targeted interventions and support where necessary. - Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages respect, faith, and reflection. - Support the spiritual life of the school, in collaboration with the leadership team and Chaplaincy. - Manage departmental resources, ensuring efficient use and ongoing development of teaching materials and technology. - Contribute to the overall ethos of the school, working within a Church of England framework.
