Your newpany
Your newpany is a well-established manufacturing business based in Nelson. Due to growth in the business, they are now recruiting an Accounts Assistant on a full-time, temporary basis. This role offers flexible working hours regarding start/finish times and the standard hours are 9am - 5pm.
Your new role
In your new role as an Accounts Assistant, you will report directly into the Finance Supervisor and your day-to-day duties and responsibilities will include, raising invoices & credit notes meanwhile posting daily cash receipts. You will be chasing up allocation of payments as well as allocating payments and setting up weekly and monthly direct debits. You will also deal with billing queries and liaising with customers on debt queries. You will also have petty cash control, collecting transactions, tracking debits and maintaining financial records. As well as this you will help out with any Purchase ledger duties as and when and help the office with any other duties as they occur.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful for this role, you must have previous sales ledger or purchase ledger experience, excellent verbal and writtenmunication, strong attention to detail, befortable to working within a busy team and previous experience using sage would be desirable but not essential.
