Role title : Technical Authors
Location: RG7 4PR and RG30 3RR, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking.
Package: £35,000 - £45,000 (depending on your suitability, qualifications & level of experience)

Let us introduce the role
We are looking to recruit a number of Technical Authors with varying levels of knowledge and experience who are looking to develop their career. Successful candidates will be deployed throughout the business producing core product documentation which will include, but is not limited to the design, assembly, movement, maintenance and disassembly of the UK’s nuclear deterrent.
These roles are ideally suited to experienced Technical Authors or Technical Authors at varying levels of their career.

Who are we looking for?
We do need you to have the following:
* A background in the generation of technical documentation
* Engineering experience in an industrial environment or a knowledge of manufacturing & assembly processes
Whilst not to be considered a tick list, we’d like you to have experience in some of the following:
* Delivering technical documentation in accordance with Company Processes, Standards, Licence Conditions, Legislation & Regulations
* Effective stakeholder management, engaging others in order to complete the tasks
Dependent on entry level, candidates will either have a level 3 qualification (ONC/OND), a recognised apprenticeship or a level 4/5 qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) in a relevant discipline.

Due to the classified nature of the work involved, there are limited opportunities to work from home in these roles. It is anticipated that the successful candidates will spend the majority of their time working on site at AWE Aldermaston or Burghfield.
