As the Senior Disability Advisor, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring equitable participation for students with disabilities at the University of Melbourne. You'll have the opportunity to implement and coordinate support strategies, liaise with various stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement in disability services. Your expertise will directly impact students' academic success, making this a rewarding position for those passionate about inclusive education.
Your responsibilities will include :
* Coordinate Support Services : Implement and manage tangible supports for students based on their Academic Adjustment Plans, including equipment and services.
* Support the team lead in the coordination of Academic Support Workers : Recruit, train, and supervise a team of 50 -60 casual staff to deliver essential support services.
* Enhance Service Delivery : Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective support for students with disabilities.
* Drive Continuous Improvement : Monitor service delivery, collect data, and provide reports to inform strategic decisions and resource allocation.

You are a passionate advocate for inclusive education with expertise in disability support services, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to enhancing the academic experience of students with diverse needs.
You may also :
* Have a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and / or equivalent experience.
* Possess sound knowledge of assistive technologies and their applications in education.
* Demonstrate experience in supporting individuals with a broad range of disabilities, including mental health and neurodiversity.
* Have strong skills in managing casual workforces and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
