This role can be contractually based out of our Portsmouth or Basingstoke office and covers the Hampshire area. This is a 12-month fixed term contract position, and is full-time working 37 hours a week, with a minimum of 20% of this to be office-based to promote collaboration and team working. Your responsibilities will include managing the service charge process, handling queries and complaints, and overseeing the effective management of managing agents. You’ll supervise, motivate, and manage the team, ensuring performance meets our targets, and will recruit for the SC & LH team when needed. As this is a supervisory position this includes performance reviews, occasionally supporting in HR processes where necessary and supporting complaint investigations within timescales. In this role, you will provide an excellent leaseholder and shared ownership service, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and will work closely with the Sales team to ensure leases meet regulatory requirements and provide accurate information before any lease commences. You’ll manage works/costs reconciliation and ensure accurate service charge information is provided in a timely manner. Your communication skills will be crucial as you’ll work with a range of teams across the business such as our development team and our sales/income teams. You’ll be proactive in leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery, and will be involved in the implementation of new processes to minimise future service charge costs and administration, driving a culture of strong performance as well as transparency, allowing customers to self-serve where they can. The ideal candidate will have experience in service charge & leasehold management, and knowledge of emerging legislation and regulatory requirements. You'll also have strong communication skills, as well as numerical and analytical skills. You'll have the interpersonal skills to lead a team, and will be motivated and keen to succeed. A relevant leasehold or housing qualification and previous experience of managing a team is beneficial but not essential.
