Unified Platform Team Lead (Frontend)
Company Description:
Our Proprietary trading client is looking for a Team Lead who will own critical components of our client's software platform. This role requires people leadership, technical leadership, project ownership, and hands-on development and support activities.
Role Description:
The Unified Platform Front-End team develops interactive, data-driven applications that enhance efficiency and accuracy across the firm. By collaborating with stakeholders, product managers, and software teams, they create seamless workflows and intuitive interfaces for critical business functions, including portfolio management, research and reference data, operations, and finance, treasury, and risk. Their work ensures users have access to real-time data, optimized processes, and high-performance applications to support key decision-making and business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Mentor and lead a diverse team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous growth.
* Own project execution by defining requirements, managing schedules, allocating resources, and ensuring timely delivery.
* Establish and refine processes to enhance efficiency and streamline project delivery.
* Work closely with other development teams to align dependencies and achieve shared goals.
* Actively participate in system and architecture design discussions, challenging ideas and contributing to new feature development.
Qualifications:
* 7+ years of full-stack or front-end software development.
* 3+ years of experience leading engineers in a technical environment, with a strong emphasis on mentoring, development, and team management.
* Familiarity with system and architecture design principles.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Experience with TypeScript, React, Node.js or similar front-end and full-stack technologies.
* Familiarity with User Interface/User Experience design and research practices.
* Ability to own projects, define requirements, and lead development and support initiatives.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, with the capacity to work on both software development and support tasks.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering collaboration and effective teamwork across global locations.
