Finance Assistant | Sales Ledger | Permanent | Newtownabbey
Reed Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working with a well-established and reputable client in the production industry in Newtownabbey who are actively recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join their small team within accounts.
This is a full time, permanent opportunity, office based.
The hours of work are 8am to 4.45pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 2pm on Friday.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the post-holder will primarily be responsible for the sales ledger and credit control policy / aged debt in order to maximise the company's cashflow.
Specific duties will include:
Collection of debts as per terms of trading and to meet company debtor days targets
Maintain sales ledger by allocating all remittances, credit notes, journals ensuring ledgers are kept in an orderly fashion
Advise and resolve account queries electronically
Create and issue invoices promptly, on a daily basis
Manage cash sales, preparing statements and preparing lodgements for banking
Perform additional accounting and administrative duties, data input, filing, invoicing and general office duties
Control petty cash and be responsible for adequate stationary supplies
Complete month end closures in a timely manner
Administer & set up new customer credit account applications
Management reporting
The Person:
Candidates will have previous sales ledger and credit control experience
Candidates will have excellent communication skills and will work well in a small team environment
Candidates will be motivated with the ability to meet and exceed deadlines
Candidates will ideally have experience working with Intact software, although full training will be provided.
