Key Responsibilities: Lead with Purpose: Manage airside operations, ensuring strict adherence to Airport Company Procedures and regulatory requirements, fostering a culture of safety, and driving operational excellence. Safety First: Take charge of implementing the Safety and Security Scheme, ensuring all airport operators follow operational instructions, and continuously monitor adherence to ensure a safe environment for all. Investigate & Improve: Lead in-depth investigations of incidents, identifying root causes, driving preventative actions, and submitting Mandatory Occurrence Reports (MORs) within required timelines to minimise risks and improve processes. Efficient Airfield Services: Oversee key airfield services such as aircraft parking, marshalling, inspections, wildlife control, signage, and runway markings, addressing any deficiencies to maintain operational integrity. Crisis Management: Direct Airfield Operations personnel during emergencies, ensuring both compliance with regulations and the safety of all personnel while maintaining operational continuity. Leadership in Action: Manage, motivate, and develop the Airfield Operations team by providing effective leadership, fostering a collaborative environment, ensuring high performance, and promoting continuous development. Training & Development: Champion the Airside Training Programme by efficiently coordinating training schedules, allocating resources, and ensuring compliance with both regulatory standards and operational needs. Health & Safety Advocate: Promote best practices in health and safety, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols during aircraft turnarounds and throughout the apron and airfield operations. Operational Oversight: Oversee daily operations and maintenance of all operational facilities and equipment, ensuring they are up to standard and addressing any deficiencies in a timely manner. Compliance Monitoring: Collaborate with the compliance team to ensure internal and external regulatory standards are consistently met and manage corrective actions to address any risks.
